Montana OA takes seriously the privacy of those that visit our website. We have posted this Privacy Policy to communicate what information we collect and how that information is used and safeguarded.

What information is collected, and why?

We track information such as the domain, IP address from which the user is visiting and the user's browser agent. We also collect specific information regarding the user's session on our website. Montana OA does not collect any personally identifiable financial or health-related information.

Non-personally identifiable information (non-PII) is collected to allow us to analyze how our website is used and to improve the content and service the website provides. This data is considered “non-identifying information”, as it does not personally identify you on its own. When there is a need to collect personally identifiable information (PII), Montana OA will not sell, trade, or rent the information to others. We may use the information to continue contact with the user. This may include contact such as follow-up calls, e-mail correspondence, or mail correspondence to follow-up on the contact or to provide information about events and OA activities.

Are “Cookies” used on the website?

As of November 2022, the Montana OA website uses Weebly and Google sponsored apps which may contain cookies. Our intent is to keep these to a minimum and this policy may change in the future.

How is personally identifiable information safeguarded?

Montana OA employs password protection to secure electronic information. Access is restricted to individuals performing service work for the Big Sky and Bitterroot Intergroups, determined on a need-to-know basis.

The website may contain links to other websites. Montana OA neither controls nor endorses external sites and is not responsible for the content of such sites. This policy does not cover the privacy policies and data collection practices of non-Montana OA websites.

How to opt out of correspondence

Individuals may unsubscribe from our general mailing lists (Bitterroot IG currently uses all-members@bitterrootig.groups.io) by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email. An individual may also email the Montana OA webmaster at bitterrootig@gmail.com to ask to be removed from other Big Sky or Bitterroot IG email lists.
